Provider

The provider is the company that creates the slot machines. Casinos hire each provider under contract, which they then integrate into their platform for their players. There are hundreds of providers in the world, some of them more popular because of their designs but also because of the potential of their slot machines.

Bankroll

The bankroll is the total balance you have to play with on your player account.

Raw money

Raw Money is money deposited without a bonus, meaning that it can be withdrawn at any time, without conditions.

Wager

The Wager is a wagering condition that must be met in order to withdraw the money when the casino gives you a deposit bonus. Example: a deposit of €100 with a +100% bonus and a wagering requirement x30 = €200 (€100 deposit + €100 bonus) x30 to wager, i.e. €200 x30 = €6,000 in total to wager before being able to withdraw.

Deposit bonus

A deposit bonus is an offer from the casino on your deposit, subject to max bet conditions most of the time. For example, if you deposit €100 with a +150% bonus, accompanied by a wager x30 and a max bet of €5: you will then have a balance of €250 after the deposit, you will need to wager €7500 (€250 x30) to withdraw without exceeding the €5 max bets during the session.

Max bet

The max bet is the maximum bet you can place on a slot machine or table game. Often, welcome bonuses offered by casinos are subject to a max bet for players who are under wager, this avoids a gambling style too volatile for casinos.

Breakeven

The breakeven is often used during a bonus hunt, it gives you the average multiplier you need to reach to recover your starting balance. The calculation is based on your balance before starting the bonus hunt, your average bet on your bonuses and the number of bonuses you will get.

Scatter

A scatter is the symbol that gives the bonus, most often 3 scatters are needed on a slot machine to acquire the bonus.

Bonus

The bonus on a slot machine will give you free spins and a substantial advantage over simple base game spins.

Bonus Non Sticky

The bonus balance (under wager) and the amount deposited (called raw) are divided into two parts, first you play with the money in the Raw balance, which is the amount of your deposit. If you manage to raise this balance without having reached the bonus money then you can cancel the bonus and withdraw the remaining money. If the Raw balance is lost, you will enter the bonus balance with the amount of the wager to be made in order to withdraw.

Basegame

The base game is defined as the basic spins made on a slot machine, i.e. the simple bets and spins that scroll through, with no bonuses acquired.

Megaways

Megaways are a registered trademark of BigTimeGaming. This licence is borrowed from several slot providers Megaways = Mega Connections. The more megaways there are on a slot machine, the greater the potential payout as well as the number of symbol connections.

Wild

A wild represents a symbol that can be described as a ‘wildcard’. It replaces any symbol and therefore creates more connections on the slot machine.

Retrigger

During a bonus, if you get scatters again, you'll receive extra free spins, which is called a retrigger.

Max win

A max win is the maximum multiplier you can make on a slot machine. Most often this maximum multiplier is x5000 or x10 000, but it can reach amounts such as x300 000 on certain slot machines.

RTP

The RTP is equivalent to the long term average payout that the machine will give you back, the RTP is calculated by the providers on millions of spins to give an average percentage payout rate of the slot machine.

Volatility

It is defined by the potential of a slot machine to give a high multiplier or not, the more a slot machine can give a high multiplier, the more volatile it will be.

Live dealer

Live casino is games where there is a croupier who presents the game such as Blackjack, but also televised games such as Crazy Time, Monopoly and others.

Bust

The bust is mainly used in blackjack, when the player or the dealer makes more than the maximum score not to be exceeded, which is 21, in which case the player or the dealer loses instantly if he busts by drawing a new card.

KYC

KYC means ‘know your user’. KYC allows the casino to verify the identity documents of their players, which most sites ask for in order to withdraw your winnings, thus protecting themselves from the organisations that control gambling sites.

Crazy mode

Often used on battle mode crate opening sites (such as Hybe), crazy mode allows you to match your opponent and the fact that he will win more money than you. It's simply a reverse mode for battles between players.
